FEBRUARY 2010

The month of LOVE is upon us... Be sure to remember your Valentine on Valentine's Day! It can be a boyfriend/girlfriend, mommy, daddy, best friend or even your pet... But, do something SWEET for someone in your life on Valentine's Day!
January was a fun and full month! We enjoyed each week at Kidz Konnect! Every 'event' was unique and exciting! We are so very thankful for the many adults in our church family who give of their time, energy and efforts to make Kidz Konnect such a wonderful place!

THIS COMING WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, (7p.m.) WE WILL CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY TOGETHER, WITH A BIG PARTY! "Sunflower, the Clown", will be with us and we will have lots of yummy food to eat! YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS OUR VALENTINE'S CELEBRATION, "JOY IN YOUR HEART"!!!
This past Wednesday evening, Mrs. Mari and Mrs. Amelia hosted, "A & M Kidz Kreations" and what a time was had by all! After hearing the story of John the Baptist, the children 'created' LOCUSTS, baked them and ATE THEM WITH HONEY! Thanks, Mari and Amelia for such a great evening!!!
Wednesday, February 17th, will be BIBLE MEMORIZATION AND BIBLE CHARADES, with Mrs. Doris, Mr. Rich and Mrs. Cathy! This should be another wonderful evening for the children... knowing the chosen staff of the night, there will likely be treats and prizes, as well! Thanks, in advance, Doris, Rich and Cathy for all your hard work with the children! Not only for this event, but on a weekly basis!!! We love y'all!
Wednesday, February 24th, "Mystery Momentz" will roll around again and you NEVER know exactly what THAT will entail! Mrs. Theresa and Mr. Bob will have something exciting planned and YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS OUT!!! Thank you, Baker's, for stepping in and adding something 'new' to our February schedule... The kids are gonna love you both!

JANUARY 2010

The first month of the new year has almost come and gone! Time is slipping by so quickly!!!

The first Wednesday of January we had a Christmas Show-N-Tell. The children brought something in they had received for Christmas and told us about it. This was interesting for the kids, as well as for the adults, to see all the unique items that were brought. Thanks to Mr. Greg and Mrs. Shelly for this event.

The second Wednesday of 2010 was Game Night. We enjoyed a variety of many different games, hot cocoa and cookies. Thanks to Mr. Steve and his helpers for a fun evening.

This past Wednesday was Bible Character Night... which proved to be another great time! The kids could, but did not have to dress in costume, as Mr. David and Mrs. Amelia hosted the event.

This coming Wednesday evening will be Mystery Momentz......... you'll see what happens when you arrive and who will be directing for the night. Believe me, you'll NOT want to miss this one!!!

Show-N-Tell, Incredible Illusions & More........ HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We had a fun evening making crafts with Mrs. Sally and would like to thank her for 'putting up with all of us girls' last night!!! "Kidz Kraft Night" is always an interesting time!
We're looking forward to next week... "Christmas Show-N-Tell"!!! You may bring anything you received for Christmas and each person will have the same amount of time to show his/her items! Plus, we'll have time set aside for snacks!!!
In a few weeks, we'll also have an "Incredible Illusion" show that you'll not want to miss!
Please plan NOW to attend Kidz Konnect each week!!! June will be here before we know it and we'll have our "King's Kidz Klub 2010 Launch Off"....... Summer certainly is a fun time around Southside, huh???

Kidz Konnect is attempting to get back into full swing! With so many Christmas and family things on our calendars, it will probably be January before things really slow down and get back to normal!
However, we had a lovely time, with Mrs. Alberta at Kidz Konnect, last Wednesday night! She has a such special way of telling a story... just makes it come to LIFE!!! Reminds us of our Christmas ornaments coming to 'life', in our rendition of, "IT'S A WONDER---FUL LIFE", a couple of weeks ago! Thank you, Mrs. Alberta, for such a wonderful evening! We love you and your 'staff'!!!

AFTER ALL, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF CHRISTMAS WAS TAKEN AWAY AND THERE WAS NO JESUS IN THE MANGER, NO STAR ON OUR CHRISTMAS TREE AND ALL OF OUR PRESENTS JUST EMPTY BOXES??? IT WOULDN'T BE A NIGHTMARE, ONLY LIFE WITHOUT JESUS AND CHRISTMAS!!! WE HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU ON SUNDAY... PARENTS, CHILDREN, GRANDPARENTS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS...........................

THE 'CHORUS' WILL CONTINUE TO MEET ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS AT 7PM... THE DRAMA TEAM WILL BEGIN MEETING ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS AT 6PM!!!
