So Much to Learn About the Bible...

...and who is better at telling us about God's Word than Mr. David and Mrs. Amelia?! Did we ever enjoy our time with them last night, too! It's always fun to learn about the Bible and the different stories found there! Mr. David and Mrs. Amelia also brought Table Games for us, (which we ALWAYS love), to play with following our "Bible Story Night" ! Afterwards, Mrs. Doris provided Cookies and Ice Cream Cups for us. A special thanks to her for helping to 'fill us up' before we headed home for bed! All in all, another FUN night at Kidz Konnect and now we just can't wait to see what's up for next week!!! Bienvenidos a Mexico...

...Welcome to Mexico!
This was how the children were greeted last night at Kidz Konnect. Mrs. Heather and Mr. Matt had an incredible evening of Spanish-flavored fun planned and the kids would like to say a very special, "Muchas Gracias" (Thank You), to both Mrs. Heather and Mr. Matt for a great time! Even though, Mr. Matt was 'called out' at the last minute to preach for the Prayer/Praise service, Mrs. Heather went through with their plans and it was "así que clase de ella" (so kind of her)!

This was our first 'Vision of Mission Kidz Konnect Talks' for the season, there are a couple more of these type sessions planned in the next few months and believe us, YOU don't want to miss ONE of them!!! Last night, we learned many fun facts about the country of Mexico and it's surrounding areas, played games that the children of Mexico play, ate Tortilla Chips with Salsa, we tried it all... EXCEPT the Fiesta (nap) and we didn't have ANYTHING to do with that! LOL

Next week, we have another fun and exciting evening planned for you, so PLEASE do NOT skip out and remember to BRING YOUR FRIENDS with you! We also have ANOTHER Party Night on schedule in March and will be posting more information very soon for you to see! Remember to be on the lookout for news concerning our upcoming Annual Easter Egg Hunt! It'll be here before you can say, 'Hippity Hoppity'!

Happy Valentine's Week

Kidz Konnect held their annual Valentine Party last night, Wednesday, February 11th! We had an incredible evening! The menu consisted of Deli-Style Pizza, an assortment of Chips and a variety of Cold Drinks. The children had a wild and roaring time, especially when Mrs. Doris showed them her "Pizza Clown Duo" Cut-Out, which she had brought in for a special photo op. They also each had a Valentine Card to fill out for someone special. After an exciting and quite loud game of "Floor Bingo", each child left the party, with a handful of Valentine Candy and a Heart Cookie in their hand with a promise to come back and see what was to happen at Southside this coming Sunday.

A GREAT BIG HUGE Thank You to every adult who helped before, during and after the Party to make it such a raging success.......... we couldn't have made it without Y-O-U!!!

The First Movie Night of 2009

Last night we all gathered with heart-shaped chocolate cupcakes from 'Little Debbie' and curious minds to watch our First Movie of 2009. We have Christian "Movie Nights" scheduled once per month through May. Along with other once a month adventures such as, "Kidz Konnect Kaleidoscope of Fun Nights" (which include everything from Kidz Konnect Vision of Misssion Talks to Kidz Konnect Kraft Nights) with a Party Night thrown in from time to time!
For our first Movie Night of this year, we chose Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends: "To Share or NUT to Share" (By Max Lucado)

From the series that brought us the #1 DVD/Video of 2005 in Christian retail, this particular one is a fun story about sharing with one another, from a Biblical standpoint. Here is a brief overview of "To Share or NUT to Share":
The "garden" literally goes 'nuts' when a shortage of nuts causes panic, especially with the Garden Talent Show & Tell starting the next day. And wouldn't you know it --- everyone's talent involves a NUT. With only one nut left in the entire garden, friends turn into enemies as it's a mad dash to see who grabs the last, elusive nut. To remain friends and to save the show, the bugs must learn to share. What a great lesson was learned by us all!
