The End of April is HERE...

Well, we only have a little over a month, before our Summer Kidz Klub opens!!! We are anxious to begin the summer and see what God has planned for us here at Southside! We will have similar activities and activities that we have had all Winter, except we'll spend MUCH (99.9% - weather permitting) of our time outside enjoying the beauty of God's creation!!!
May is to begin in less than two days therefore, we decided to add an "Indy 500" background to our Blog here at Southside Kidz... the theme of May is "RACE INTO SOUTHSIDE AND SEE WHAT GOD HAS IN STORE"!
Last week, Mr. Matt and Mrs. Heather, gave us an Italian-flavored evening of fun with many neat facts and information on the country of Italy and ended the event with a taste of Italy, as well! The Pizza Bites and Drinks were the perfect ending to a perfect night! A special thank you goes out to the Moore's from all of us here at Kidz Konnect!

This week is Gamez-N-Fun with Mr. Steve, Mr. Rich and Mrs. Cathy... what fun!!! Aren't Game Night's just the best??? Hopefully, the rain will stay away tonight for outdoor games otherwise, we'll simply stay and enjoy a great time indoors! MANY MANY thanks in advance to this wonderful 'crew' of adults for planning such a neat Spring-time activity for us!

The Schedule for May 2009 Kidz Konnect:

Wed. May 6th ~ 'PAJAMA NIGHT' with a great christian video, brownies and milk to boot, is on schedule. Please remember to wear your PJ's and arrive ready to veg out with all your Kidz Konnect pals!

Wed. May 13th ~ Kidz Konnect Kaleidoscope of Fun... Bible Story Night with Mrs. Doris and of course, you can't forget the popcorn, kool-aide and popsicles that will be there!

Wed. May 20th ~ Another Kidz Konnect Kaleidoscope of Fun, only this time it will be Kidz Kraft Night with Mrs. Mari and Mrs. Shelly. We'll dive into chips-n-dip and fruit punch before heading home for the evening!

Wed. May 27th ~ "Picnic at the Hope Shelter" with the Kidz Konnect Party Krew... we will celebrate the end of the School year together and ALL of our Kidz Konnect helpers and directors will be there, also! (Food and details to be announced at a later date.)

NO Kidz Konnect Last Week... BUT!

We're back on schedule this week!!! Mr. Matt and Mrs. Heather have another VERRRRY exciting night planned for us and you DO NOT want to miss it... THIS Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.!!!

The reason we had no Kidz Konnect last week, was due to the fact that our Church was in the middle of PART of the new renovation project and last week they put in our NEW Sanctuary (theatre-style) Chairs... have you seen them, yet? Have you had a chance to sit in one, yet? They are awesome, huh???

Be on the lookout for a very detailed POST on next weeks BLOG, because we will be informing you with the rest of our Spring Schedule at that time and also giving you a run-down of our Easter Egg Hunt, last Saturday! We sure had an awesome turn out, with close to 200 present, didn't we?!?!?

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is THIS SATURDAY!

We'd like to say a special Thank You to Mr. David, Mrs. Sally and Mrs. Theresa for helping us out tonight with our Easter Bible Story time and coloring Easter Eggs... it was a very fun evening and wouldn't have been nearly as much so, without the three of them there to assist us!!!

This post is being sent out with urgency to inform you ALL that our annual Easter Egg Hunt is this coming Saturday (April 11th) at 2 P.M. and we want to see how many of our community can be there to celebrate with us! Peter Cottontail will visit us, we'll have prizes and OH SO MUCH MORE... you'll not want to miss it and you'll WANT to bring ALL your friends, neighbors and family with you!!!

ADULTS...
9:00 AM - THURSDAY APRIL 9 -
WE ARE IN NEED OF A CREW TO 'STUFF THE EGGS'. WE WILL BE DIRECTED WITH OUR DUTIES WHEN WE ARRIVE. WE WILL MEET IN THE FAMILY CENTER. THIS SHOULDN'T TAKE MORE THAN A COUPLE OF HOURS.

12 NOON - SATURDAY APRIL 11-
WE WILL NEED HELP 'HIDING THE EGGS'. NATHAN HURST WILL DIRECT THIS PROJECT. THE EGGS WILL ALREADY BE STUFFED AND THE SIGNS FOR EACH AGE GROUP WILL ALREADY BE OUT ON THE LAWN. THE 'HIDING' OF THE EGGS WILL HAVE TO BE DONE BY OR BEFORE 1:45 PM IF YOU CAN STAY AND HELP IN THE EGG HUNT, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, AS WELL.

2:00 PM - SATURDAY APRIL 11 -
*WE NEED 4 OR 5 LADIES/GALS TO HELP WITH THE REGISTRATION TABLE. WE WILL HAVE FORMS OR CARDS FOR THE CHILDREN OR THEIR GUARDIAN TO FILL OUT. *WE ARE IN SEARCH OF ANYONE AND EVERYONE WHO CAN HELP US WITH 'CROWD CONTROL'. WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE 2 OR 3 ADULTS IN EACH AGE GROUP TO KEEP THE CHILDREN AS CALM AS POSSIBLE. *WE WILL ALSO NEED THE SAME 4 OR 5 LADIES/GALS FROM REGISTRATION TABLE TO HELP WITH THE PRIZE TABLES AT THE END OF THE EGG HUNT.THE ENTIRE EGG HUNT SHOULDN'T LAST MORE THAN 1 TO 1 1/2 HOURS AND WE PLAN TO BE FINISHED AT OR BEFORE 3:00ISH.
