"Southside's Super Servant" Night Was a Great Success!

A special thank you to every child and adult who helped with our "Southside's Super Servant" Night, last evening! It was a great success... with over 90 people in attendance. (We missed the Teen Dept. being with us because they had a prior engagement... maybe next time, guys!?)
Our 'chat' for the evening (AKA 'lesson'), talked about ways to become a servant to others, just as Jesus was and then in turn, we 'served' many of the congregation a special dessert following the regular Wednesday night activities. We made an assembly line and 'created' individual desserts made of cherry cake doughnuts, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, rainbow sprinkles and each one was topped with a cherry! YUMMY! The children enjoyed serving the adults and there's not much doubt, that the adults had fun being 'served'... for a change!

Remember, our Valentine Party is coming up on Wednesday, February 11th (7pm) and kids, please let your parents know that we are in search of adult volunteers to aide in 'security' for the event.
Stay warm and be on the lookout for good ole' "Groundhog Day" on Feb. 2nd... hopefully he'll let us know that Spring is just around the bend!
